my twitter claim to fame was making a bot that re-tweeted everything trent said but passed it through a pirate-speak filter first. he DM'd me and said thanks for the laugh, offered me tickets to any show on their current tour. the closest show was vegas but i was broke af at the time and couldn't afford the plane ticket so i had to decline. this was around 2009 i think maybe? when they did the "farewell" tour whenever that was. edit: yeah the 2009 nin/ja wave goodbye tour double edit: lol it's somehow still online and hasn't been deleted or suspended. some good poo poo in there https://twitter.com/pirate_treznor polyester concept fucked around with this message at 20:47 on Nov 22, 2022 |

This weekend I bought a bootleg TDS picture disc at a record fair. There appear to be grooves on it, but the center hole is too small for the peg on the turntable of my record player, so I can't play it anyway lol  All text is in Spanish, apart from the track titles.

I still haven't watched it back, and I still need to; it might be the only time I'll ever have ended up at a recorded show, and the whole night was fantastic. Someday I'll get around to going to an actual NIN show, but catching that one is still something to hang my hat on as a concert-goer.

Good thing he's just used the same 3 guys since 1994/2005/2009 respectively then  In all seriousness, while it's nice to see the stability after running through band members like a knife through butter during the first 20 years of NIN's existence, I do miss the way the ever-changing lineups would influence the overall sound of the arrangements. Would be nice to see some new blood come on board for the next major album/tour.

After the tour ended he was talking about how this current iteration of the show (stretching back to the 2018 shows) as being over. So there probably will be something new if he tours or plays again which I'm sure he will.

Trent and Atticus' score for Sam Mendes' movie Empire of Light is out today. I'm listening to it now and so far it's mostly just beautiful piano pieces. No acoustic guitar like on the Bones and All score. Would definitely recommend if you need some calming background music.
