I promised/dared a sweet-toothed friend to split this with me when we met up in Kobe this weekend. It was about as you'd expect, not awful unless you thought about it. Then all you can think of is eating straight Kroger Bakery buttercream frosting on Wonder Bread, and you can't wait to be done with it. I've never had a fruit sandwich (which is what this basically is, "improved" by removing the fruit), but I suspect the fruit would help with the texture and break up the sameness. C- would not eat again.

To be fair cold beef broth and tomato soup cake are memory holed for their utter inconsequentiality. Completely pedestrian things to do for no real reason thus falling out of favor. It's just another fruitcake. Might have to add more sugar instead of letting the tomato do the sweetening like you might for other for other fruit, but you have to do the same thing with chocolate too. Certainly going to be an interesting flavor.

 I feel like screaming WHY into someone's face. eggs, sausages and bacon cook extremely fast and suck preserved, beans come in a can and tomatoes are not hard. When you've made an insult to British cuisine you should rethink your life.
