i say swears online posted:is zootopia racially coded sheep are jewish, shakira's musical number at the end with the tiger dancers is coded to imply that she likes loving black guys because they're dangerous predators it's usually easy to wring gross interpretations out of any media that plays with "species-as-archetype" poo poo. case in point: the big shakira finale is way less queasy if you read it as about harmony between disparate social groups, which, admittedly, still ain't great with the "they're different species" thing. anyone with a passing knowledge of race/crime rhetoric in 90s' USA can transform zootopia into a straight-up a. wyatt mann cartoon, so pull that thread with caution
