trump's review of citizen kane isn't groundbreaking but it's focused and he talks about things that actually happen in the movie, which is a far cry from his usual speeches these days. it's a good demonstration of how cooked his brain is nowadays

the dark knight rises opened with gotham having essentially wiped out all organized crime via the "harvey dent act," which is not elaborated on but which is implied to suspend or weaken constitutional rights in order to be tougher on crime. the result is that there's so little crime that batman isn't necessary and the cops have nothing to do. society doesn't appear to be otherwise harmed in any way and nobody, including bane, catwoman, or any of the populist protestors, mention it i wonder if it's a right-wing movie
