Phoenix gets an average low of 45 in January. I suppose they also never have to worry about freezing weather ever at all since that's just totally a normal thing for them every winter

i was saying that people care about the overnight lows because they can dip into the low 20s and require wrapping pipes. overnight lows can be dangerous. the temps during all 24 hours of the day matter. just because the average low in a month is 42 doesn't mean it's 42 every day. it could be 50, or it could be 20, even if the month averages out to a temperature above freezing. do you people understand lows? averages? the freezing point of water? The other poster was saying people only care about highs because weather only happens when you're awake. i cant believe im having to type this out, i must be getting trolled biceps crimes has issued a correction as of 22:00 on Dec 14, 2022 |

And here's the same model for the same morning but today's run. It's quite likely there is going to be a big cold snap east of the Rockies. As for central Texas, San Angelo dropped to 15F on March 12, 2022 and typically sees several days each year 20F or colder. In the Feb 2021 event it got to -1F there two consecutive days. No single iteration of a weather model is ever 100% accurate. That is why they are run literally hundreds of times each day, to produce a number of solutions that may or may not converge on a similar solution. It also doesn't matter what this one model said today's weather would be ten days. We can correct for systemic biases but noise in the Earth's climate (weather) is not itself correctable.
