I mean it's a movie whose plot will be revealed in a trailer. I've known people to be really cautious around sets that have big twists or surprise cameos... but like the general plot? Seems overkill.

That's a goddamn good monologue, and a goddamn good voice acting performance on it. The emotion of that sold me on the movie in a way that no visuals ever could.

I loved the first Spiderverse (and Mitchels vs The Machines), but I worry that a lot of that was Lord & Miller who are just exec producers on the sequels. Also, a lot of the fun of the first movie was that it was a focused self-contained story, coming after a decade of interconnected superhero movies where each installment wastes a bit of time on its interconnected threads. So hearing that the sequels are two-parters with the first possibly having a 3-hour runtime? Hmm. I mean I'm still seeing this on day one, but I'm tempering my expectations a little.

Adam Driver has "the juice", the screen presence, charisma, whatever you want to call it. He's a real-rear end movie star despite looking like an old boot with a mop on top. As for Jurassic Black (Pitch Park has better alliteration but is less clear on the mash up) I'm totally game, will see in the theater, it looks like mid-grade genre sci-fi which is honestly where the action happens nowadays.

He will end up using something nuclear from his ship to still cause an extinction event. Adam Driver will die, but before that he will somehow find a boy survivor.
