I don't blame her for that at all, it's a known thing in academia that male professors are far more likely to get called Dr. or Professor So-and-so while female professors are far more likely to get called by their first names. It's a small thing but it happens consistently and is well known enough as a phenomenon that a lot of women in academia are starting to push back on it because even if no harm is meant by it in any individual interaction, overall when it happens to you repeatedly it's easy to experience it as a sign of disrespect.
