Not my dog, and she saw a child to play with when I tried getting a better schnoz picture, but here is a fantastic dog nose for others who don’t have the ability to give a dog a home:

My brother recently bought a house, so now he can finally have a dog, and he’s learning that the rescue pup’s reaction to some triggers from its previous (bad) life are triggering my bro and making him feel like he’s either the worst dogfather in the world or this doggo just hates him, despite me telling him patience will pay off in the long run. So here’s Benson (which was his shelter name, and I may start calling him Hedges): His Petfinder pics: What the foster parents sent: His first day home:

We rescued Noa, our black lab, in april 2021. She's only really truly opened up within the last few months, we don't know what she went through with her previous owners. it can take a while. make sure he understands that.

My parents rescued their dog from someone who just abandoned him when they moved out. The owner of the place knew my mom and asked if she knew anyone to look after a dog, and my mom took the dog in an instant. She brought home this skinny and abused dog, despite initial protests by my dad about getting "another goddamn dog," the dog latched onto him. They named the dog Ace. He was a small black terrier mix, the vet could only guess what he was mixed with. The first time I came home to visit, he was only very tentatively coming out of the bedroom to look at me, and then running back in. Took me hanging out in the house for a few hours, before he'd get close. You had to be very careful about standing up suddenly, or moving too quickly around him. Dad learned that when reading the paper, he had to be careful not to shake the paper to take out a crease, or roll up the paper around him. So we could tell he had been abused. It took years to get him used to the idea that people wouldn't hit him for no reason, but it also made training him an nightmare. He had serious attachment issues, and hated to be left alone. But after years of being loved and cared for, he really came out of his shell and learned that people came back for him, and he didn't want to hurt him.

Milo and POTUS posted:What is she eating? I love airheads too Its churu, think go-gurt if it was made of fish paste. They have a couple of flavors besides fish like chicken, but fish is the most popular among my cats. Its kind of fun feeding them direct from the tube but to avoid fights I just put it on dishes so my cats can enjoy at the same time.

We got our second dog Nalah in the beginning of July this year and while she has truly come out of her shell over the last few months, there are still some hangups, like the fact that she has only been outside on a leash one single time during these 6 months and we only got her about 30 feet outside of the fenced off garden, before she just sat down and went catatonic with fear. If you pick up a blanket or anything that you don't usually carry, she will take that as a sure sign of the end times and flee to a corner of the room in order to prepare for her death. Breaks my heart every time, but I know its not me, its her 3 years of living on the streets of Warsaw and then half a year of living in a kennel somewhere in Poland. It gets better, but yeah I feel your brother's pain.

Just popped out to the local mini-market, and there was a couple waiting outside with a very sweet little Bulldog girl. Our lhasa Henry was very keen to say hello, and when he went bustling up to her say hello, she did that 'all four legs at once' stance change that bulldogs do, so she was keen as well. Henry got all chesty and brave, and he BARKED at her a few times, but she just bounced around on all her paws at once, and he retreated. We asked if she was a puppy or just petite, and it turned out she is a rescue, she is fully grown, so she's just a small little girl. For an English Bulldog she was remarkably well-made and healthy-looking

Years ago, we arrived in a thick fog in a bay on the Welsh coast, and while we couldn't see anything, we could hear dozens of peacocks shrieking. It was quite surreal.

You can't convince me that's not a small human in a dog suit. No dog I know would see a burrito and not just inhale it instantly, not even chewing
