Just picked this up. Seems very cool. However, I just reached the final boss, and lost because my casters took huge damage from something called “mana burn.” I did not see this in the glossary. What causes this — high mana? Final boss effect?

  Unfair, I quite like the Wanderer, but I also feel like it really needs the assistance of items/a buffer to properly pop off, whereas I do really like the Shaman over the Enchanted but maybe there's a better Red to go to. For people who do Brutal with all blues, do you keep the basic Mage around for Flare through the whole thing? I keep getting a decent ways in but end up with mediocre damage spells.

As much as I enjoy the big hit that flare has there is more than enough damage from l2 blues to make up for it. I've never once avoided swapping it out.

The most recent achievement I got was Draw, which is what it says on the tin. Win the fight and have all of your characters dead at the same time. You do get revived and move onto the next fight.

Holy moly trying to get the 2-streak brutal normal achievement is really driving me nuts. Literally every single run I've gotten to the end goes against the dragon which I can never outdamage with the utility-heavy teams I need to get there

I avoid Myco like the plague, is there some sort of secret trick to him that makes him actually good, or is he really just a "gets good mana early into a round, then pivots to revival and his growth sides when he exhausts the Decay on his mana gain" type

His spell is a bit meh though--you can pop it on anyone with an attack to do +1 damage for 1 mana, which is fine, but the drawbacks on it are awful compared to Vine. It does get better if you can match it up with value multipliers like poison/cleave/hit-all, so he does have some synergy, but by and large yeah I think he's pretty niche at best.

Got to 126 on Blursed! ...A four hour run. I know I didn't stare at my phone for four hours total but drat that was addicting. What killed me was taking all the curses that gave shields to enemies on taking damage, ally death, etc. so it screwed up the combat math.

2 Hard classic wins in a day, both with 1 spell per turn curse. Dragon and Hexia. Had only a single win previously on Hard. Stockpiling mana for bonuses rather than damage worked well both runs so I think Ibwas quite lucky for RNG items. Dragon fight I had a high armour dice with the bonus to reuse if it saves someone that made fireball a non issue. For Hexia it was a few massive damage kamikaze attacks that did it .
