What was that movie where he rescued/avenged some lady who got hosed up by a bunch of guys in the mountains? No, I won’t look it up. I should hate every aspect of that movie yet I love it. It’s a paradox really.

Anyways, I hope he doesn’t die.

That movie is just straight up misery porn. I hate movies like that where nothing good happens whatsoever. I mean at least in ie eastern promises viggo saves the babby, if there was a similar situation in that dumb movie we both forgot the name of, the babby would be dead in the snow or some poo poo and jerry would emotionlessly murk someone before the credits roll

Hope the snowplow is ok :(

I guess the options are critical but stable, recovering or dead.

It's also a very front loaded statement. Like they're saying you're hosed but you sort of walk away with the reassurance of but stable.

It's not that reassuring because by definition "critical" is life threatening and "stable" indicates that your condition is neither deteriorating nor improving. It's common for there to be long term health issues for those who survive physical trauma, and it sounds like that's a certainty in this case.

From what has been released it seems like it was massive trauma to lower extremities that was addressed with tourniquet usage (everyone should know how to use one imo) and since he got to a trauma center alive I would say he has a fairly good chance for survival. Probably mulched his leg up pretty bad but as long as you don't bleed out it isn't a fatal injury. The cold definitely helped him as well, remember if someone is down in the cold they aren't officially dead until they are warm and dead. Obviously if injuries are not compatible with life that doesn't apply but cold is great for keeping you alive

You guys think this and Chadwick will be the start of an "Avenger's Curse" thing? Like everything bad that happened to the 300 actors that have been Avengers so far will be attributed to this curse.

I think Thor will die in a car accident.

The latest reports are that he suffered other injuries apart from the one to his leg.

Referring to this as a "weather-related accident" is quite a reach by the media.

Assuming crush injuries to the pelvis what will kill you there first is blood loss and like I said as long as he got to the trauma center alive he has a good shot since they can just start dumping blood into him at an insane rate while they patch him up (seriously the machine they have is nuts, it can put a bag of blood into someone in 45 seconds, I watched a trauma where the guy got knifed in the shoulder area and they gave him 50 bags before the surgeon could stop the bleeding)

And blood loss is what kills you around 70 percent of the time in traumas. They are probably pumping him with all the antibiotics right now and keeping him sedated depending on what other surgeries he has to have.
