Unfortunate/hilarious own goal from Torquay to give Derby the lead:

World Cup more like Schmorld Schmup it's the FA Cup Second Round today with 2 (two) televised games on the BBC.

First up is Kings Lynn Vs Stevenage, followed by perhaps the most intriguing tie of the round as the lowest ranked team left in the competition Alvechurch take on the worst best team in League One the world Forest Green Rovers. In the last round Alvechurch knocked out Cheltenham Town, can these plucky upstarts complete a clean sweep of Gloucestershire-based League clubs, or will FGR reach the promised land of the Third Round for the first time in their history?

It's something to watch before France-Denmark kicks off, at least.

Man City vs. Chelsea in the Third Round, phwoar wotta draw

Tasty

The chances of getting the same team away in both the EFL and FA cup entry round is 7812 to 1 if my maths holds.

Or about evens if it's City and the TV stations will want that match.

That's the chance of getting specifically City away twice, or indeed the chance of any specific combination of draws

The chance of getting a non-specified team away twice is 1/252 assuming all the teams in the League Cup draw were also in the FA Cup draw

Yes but it being City v Chelsea is kinda relevant given that's a match that a less honest football association would want.

I’m assuming it’s purely because he’s left footed and Martinez isn’t 90 minutes fit

God I hope not, that would be a massive mistake. The recent ducker article had a very misleading headline, where the article body itself said he was willing to take a paycut to get a new contract.
