I thought it was a good game even at launch, tbh. I do need to give it another play when the DLC hits. And it’s probably still the best “show off your new GPU” game

cyberpunk is less 'good' and more 'of a rare but popular subgenre of rpg' so if it actually works now it's not had to see why people like it regardless of middling quality

And so we come to #21 and my darlings, there are so few places left to hide. Every game remaining in contention has legitimate claims to being Game of the Year but for most of them it is not to be as we reveal the next game on your list. Will Vampire Survivors survive? Is it time to see signs of Signalis? Is Live-A-Live going to stay alive? These questions will be answered right now…

And you know what that means, friends. I do believe we’ve just hit the top 20…

This has been quite the countdown, hasn’t it friends? We’ve had some laughs, we’ve had some shocks, we’ve had some joy but it is time to put that all behind us because this is the top 20. This is where poo poo gets real. Twenty games but only one Game of the Year. Will God of War: Ragnarok take the final step it couldn’t manage at The Game Awards? Has Xenoblade Chronicles 3 done enough to go all the way? And of course Elden Ring waits in the wings… All will be revealed in due course but for now here’s your #20!
