The only good TA is when you build a ARM Vulcan Cannon and supply it with ~30k power production to enable it to shoot really fast. Ontopic: I blame crypto for Total Annihilation: Kingdoms

God drat, Total Annihilation kicked so much rear end and magazines had exclusive units that were eventually put up for download on other sites. It was wild. I had the soundtrack on CD and played it in my pickup truck alongside the Baldur's gate 2 soundtrack because I was a loving nerdlinger.

If your financial strategy is indistinguishable from the Iraqi dinar scheme you probably are in trouble

divabot posted:sounds great, but the way it actually worked was people tried front running tether's blatant manipulations then tehter shanked them Every market is fake. There isn't any market not manipulated. If you think crypto is bad, look into SOR/aggregation and you'll see the same players across every market globally - Citadel, Jump, Cumberland, and about 15 others. Tether is but one piece of Crypto problems anyway. Every buy and sell in any market is an explicit and implicit attempt to manipulate the market. In any market the TA is there just to know where the market makers want price to be. And in contrast to what might be believed, algotrading and market makers actually try *not* to move the market too much (it's impossible for it to be 0). Behind market makers is still a bunch of the most awful people.

If it were just company scrip for buying in the company store they could at least try Jack Vance's solution from Cugel's Saga (running up an enormous debt without intention of paying it off). But with crypto you mostly can't buy anything except other crypto.

Because there's no amount of (anything) that removes me from being involved if I'm trading it, as it implies being onboard with the scam. I am happy to say that in 2021 I contributed to killing two exchange-listed tokens (Binance) with the business I was doing at the time, but it doesn't exclude that I was still involved with crypto back then - meaning the folks I did business with profited from it, and as far as I can tell - they are probably worse. That doesn't even out/ends don't justify the means.

That's one thing if it means you end up reading horoscopes, quite another if you're advising people to invest their life savings in stablecoins.

I've been busy the last week or so and haven't kept up with the thread, so am not really sure what the hell is going on, but if the thread devolves into slapfighting I'm going to put it in slow mode. Actually, scratch that, I don't have a lot of time right now so I'm going to pre-emptively put it in slow mode. If I forget someone remind me and I'll turn it back off once morale improves.
