God drat, Total Annihilation kicked so much rear end and magazines had exclusive units that were eventually put up for download on other sites. It was wild. I had the soundtrack on CD and played it in my pickup truck alongside the Baldur's gate 2 soundtrack because I was a loving nerdlinger.

I mean the flip side to crypto being a problem is it's so siloed and obfuscated there literally aren't a lot of people talking about how poo poo it is. Where are people going to learn?

Like as an example, how many crypto people have read anything outside of something awful about crypto being poo poo? Reddit celebrates crypto. It's not like a major news station is going to ever cover crypto being hot fuckin garbage. And if it's negative news they'll call it FUD or tune it out.
Honestly I think even most redditors have figured this out by now. In my experience, if you look at the comments on any crypto-related story in mainstream news subreddits or like general content communities, the top comments are all dunking on ponzi shitcoins or making fun of NFTs or whatever. Probably at least in part because Reddit gamers still have a grudge against Bitcoin for making 3080s unaffordable.

Every market is fake. There isn't any market not manipulated. If you think crypto is bad, look into SOR/aggregation and you'll see the same players across every market globally - Citadel, Jump, Cumberland, and about 15 others. Tether is but one piece of Crypto problems anyway. Every buy and sell in any market is an explicit and implicit attempt to manipulate the market.

In any market the TA is there just to know where the market makers want price to be. And in contrast to what might be believed, algotrading and market makers actually try *not* to move the market too much (it's impossible for it to be 0). Behind market makers is still a bunch of the most awful people.

yeah, that's just not a flaw with technical analysis. that's a flaw with gambling on things with no value exclusively on platforms run by people with an interest in those things having value, or in participating in a scam without being the scammer

If it were just company scrip for buying in the company store they could at least try Jack Vance's solution from Cugel's Saga (running up an enormous debt without intention of paying it off).
But with crypto you mostly can't buy anything except other crypto.

Pretty much why I exited crypto outside of just looking at technical analysis for entertainment alone. Because there's no amount of (anything) that removes me from being involved if I'm trading it, as it implies being onboard with the scam. I am happy to say that in 2021 I contributed to killing two exchange-listed tokens (Binance) with the business I was doing at the time, but it doesn't exclude that I was still involved with crypto back then - meaning the folks I did business with profited from it, and as far as I can tell - they are probably worse. That doesn't even out/ends don't justify the means.

Honestly you sound very credulous and maybe like someone who can't help seeing connections in the cosmos. That's one thing if it means you end up reading horoscopes, quite another if you're advising people to invest their life savings in stablecoins.

I assume the answer to all of these questions is "to lure in some more bag holders", but a lot of these psychos probably believe their own hype and it boggles the mind

The most elegant answer I can think of.

I’m not sure where this sentiment comes from but my best guess is that the majority of bag holders have never experienced a bear market of any consequential length and therefore dismiss company fundamentals out of hand.

so at first i was annoyed at how much you post that, but then i was like, do they really? maybe it just feels that way because i dislike it, and so it stands out more to me

so i went looking backwards through your post history in this thread and because i dont understand how to make a computer do things for me i started counting on my fingers and in the past forty posts youve specifically mentioned that seraph bought that for you six times

so i went back a page and tallied again, skimming and counting and thought to myself thats odd, yet again there are six seraph bought this title for you mentions, what a coincidence !

so i went back forty posts yet further and would not you know it, seraph is credited for the purchase of your title six times exactly

so you can understand my surprise on discovering that not in the further two pages checked is a single mention!

so then i click previous page once more and finally i have dug far back enough to find the post where you remark on it having been initially purchased, and that made me even MORE curious, because that means the timeline went that seraph bought you the ad and you acknowledge it once, then an ENTIRE YEAR passes, and then fully fifteen percent of your post history is telling people that seraph bought you that av

so i have to ask: what the gently caress is your deal?

Semantically, "you" is both singular and plural, though syntactically it is always plural. It always takes a verb form that originally marked the word as plural.

Also, there is no plural when the context is an argument with an individual rather than a group. Somfin shouldn't put words in my mouth.
