Back from the dead to give a big thanks to Rarity and VG for the sick countdown and hard work. I’m looking forward to the end of this year, because I already know two whole games that came out in November/December that will in my top ten (and already scored pretty highly this round).

It might be more interesting to have a Fringe Hero Award for the poster with the most placements within the Top 75, but the lowest ranked cumulatively.

I honestly thought I might be competing with Rarity for having Baldur's Gate, Persona 2, Morrowind and an SMT game for 3ds on my list, but I was spared that fate edit: I put myself the goal of getting through all three Souls before I finish my Elden Ring run, so I picked up DS3 instead and I am currently getting wrecked in Farron Keep

Thanks again to Rarity and VG for doing this! I meant to post this yesterday, but I was trapped in travel hell for most of the day due to the transport issues in the UK, but here it is now. This is the similarity between all lists by RBO (for those that care, I used a weighting parameter of 0.7). One of the better open-world cities to just wander around in never progressing the plot, just mucking about and seeing the sights. My favourite thing to do in open-world city games. I have way more hours in GTAV just messing about in director mode than actually playing the story.

elden ring may have blown everything else out of the water this year, but i think staying power is even more impressive. veeeeeery curious where it lands over the upcoming years. will it be top 3 next year? top 5? how about in three years? still a top 25/50 game? if i've read the thread correctly, disco elysium is probably the most impressive in terms of staying power, yea? i think it finished first in its first year, top 5 in the next, then like top 20 in the following two? i don't know, does anyone have disco elysium's exact track record offhand?

Besides that Disco Elysium is by far the best for longevity but from memory Hades, Outer Wilds and Sekiro have all done a great job of sticking around as well
