the largest contributor to sea level rise is when your mom goes swimming, because of displacement.

we can just stop the moon over the other side of the planet to keep the tide there forever and eliminate all this bothersome weather

# ? Jan 9, 2023 02:32 |

what we need is either one bigger moon or several additional moons

# ? Jan 9, 2023 02:38 |

the sun also has a big effect on tides, so what we really need to do is stop the earth from spinning. I pitched this to elon musk and he liked the idea so much he stole it and is investing one hundred million dollars into it, because he wants to save the planet.

Wasn't there something about the moon wobbling and loving poo poo up even further in like a decade? lmao, can't even keep track of all the different apocalypses anymore, that owns.

maybe if we time it right and they all happen at once, it'll just be a big cancel out

The moon is moving further away from earth but not in any kind of distance that we would ever notice in a human lifespan

However, along most U.S. coastlines, sea levels have not risen so much that even with this lunar assist, high tides regularly top flooding thresholds. It will be a different story the next time the cycle comes around to amplify tides again, in the mid-2030s. Global sea level rise will have been at work for another decade. The higher seas, amplified by the lunar cycle, will cause a leap in flood numbers on almost all U.S. mainland coastlines, Hawaii, and Guam. Only far northern coastlines, including Alaska’s, will be spared for another decade or longer because these land areas are rising due to long-term geological processes.
