how come the bengies have sub-average draft capital? is it because they're going to have draft picks in the 20s or 30s and don't have extra picks? that makes sense. thanks

it's weird that somebody had 30 ints a few years ago and now the maximum is just going to be 15 every year. how come justin jefferson only got 10 targets for 50 yards in his last two games? he was apposed to break the record but it ended up breaking his loving rear end!

Either they are projecting comp picks or they u/s a full set of draft picks in the 28-31 range is low. They have all 7 picks this year.

This chart doesnt make any sense to me. The Bengals have all their own picks, the Jaguars have all their own picks except they dont have their own 5th and have an extra 4th and 6th. Both teams are in the playoffs. But the Jaguars have "A lot of capital" and the Bengals do not?

This is what that's based off of from the link:

*shrug* no idea where those %'s are from, Bengals haven't traded any picks.

Patriots are high up in draft percentile, but all they have is the Panthers 3 instead of their own, and some extra 6ths instead of a 5th and 7th. double *shrug*

They say their draft capital formula is based off this value chart so I guess maybe do some number crunching? I dunno I'm not at work so gonna go play games instead

Yeah dont waste your time on it, I'm not going to. I'm just not going to spend any time looking at the chart or caring about what it says because it just seems off/strange/weird/whatever.

i disagree wholeheartedly. its an insanely difficult position, probably one of the most demanding. it is not easily replaceable.

that being said, it is a position that has an insanely short shelf life, second only to running backs. that's where its difficult to try and invest in the position and that's where it feels like they should be cheap and like a replacement level role.

Its a position where you can have a jewel in the crown like Luke was in Carolina but you can scheme around a middling talent if you have to. You just need your mlb to be good at run fits and you can survive with nickel packages and extra safeties if you have a decent line.

Then again defenses in general can be schemed to cover deficiencies easier than offenses can be.

Now now he only hurts himself passing according to Ravens twitter so designed runs are perfectly acceptable.

You can sub in Josh Allen / Bills into this. Me I'm happy we stopped using designed runs after our QB had his kneecap on the side of his leg.

I mean it's literally true that Allen's two biggest injuries came as he was standing in the pocket.

Better Living Through Birding And Pessimism

That's more Huntley's game. Lamar will sometimes get physical with DBs but usually is smart enough to avoid charging head on into the bigger guys. But yeah Lamar really shouldn't play. It sucks so bad we won't get to see him again this year but you just can't.

Huntley just blasts into everyone like a RB which the coaches needed to stop him from doing knowing we're down to emergency type QBs if he gets hurt. And guess what?? He got hurt. I hate this coaching staff.

Ironically the most dangerous aspect of his running (so far) has been his occasional fumbles. But yeah he's been injured twice in the pocket and has been hit low too.

josh allen knows how to run aside from ball security. likewise lamar got hurt while starting a normal qb 'scramble' where he got caught early from behind blindly, and landed awkwardly on his knees, not from trying a big special run move. everybody gets hurt doing what they do. all you want out of a qb is not to act like rg3 which neither of them do and arguably can't do

Remember that Andrew Luck looked Invincible for a few years too before all the hits started catching up with him.

I'd be worried with Allen constantly taking hits on his runs.
