i suppose i overlook a lot of awful behaviour from certain directors and just focus on the films, i dunno if that counts. polanski is the most obvious one. love his 60's and 70's stuff, hate the guy.

usually i just avoid certain people i identify as creeps whether or not they are sex allegation people or whatever. like louis ck, i always thought his stand up was gross and had weird topics. then it turned out he was basically a flasher and i thought, well that makes sense.

Polanski made a movie recently about the Dreyfus Affair which is a shame because it's a really interesting story told by quite possibly the worst person on earth to tell it

First time (or ghost) writer, same director as Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed the movie about why there's a secret conspiracy to prevent "intelligent design" (i.e. creationism) in academic settings where Ben Stein gotchas academics. Actors appear to all be working folks in random other TV/streaming stuff.

So it's a likely a bible-thumper on a SyFi budget, with the only curveball that in the trailer it's going for a Catholic imagery, which is usually a big no-no for fundie stuff. The plot synopsis of A biotech terrorist group steals the shroud to clone nega-Jesus alone makes it something I hope shows up on Prime or Tubi soon enough.

By the way, if you haven't, go watch The Prophecy for one of the most 90's movies ever made; edgy plot beyond belief, fever-dream editing and Walken and Viggo both devouring the scenery in iconic ways.

its always so weird to me that someone so good at directing actors (ie verotika) can themselves often be bad at acting. like to see glenn be given another shot. we already know the man can stack bricks like no other
