Mythbusters had a good episode demonstrating it with how much force it took to pull two interleaved phonebooks apart. It took 5000 pounds, and that only ripped the binding out. So somewhere in the stack of post its there's probably a little fused frangible chunk and the combustion just made confetti out of everything else that didn't combust.
