I had kind of a frustrating week of checking eBay for that ML Angela figure, finding ones that were either too expensive or had obvious QC issues, usually both, and having a series of reasonable offers rejected. I finally got a sorta-OK deal on a nice boxed one for about $43 shipped. More than I wanted to pay for the figure, but pretty reasonable for an unopened one with the BAF part still there and everything (not that I need it), and there were nice clear photos that showed no paint smudges or bent parts like so many of them had.

I didn't really want to pay for a box I'm gonna open or a BAF part I don't need, but for a really nice MIB figure that remains in demand, that's not too bad. I'm consoling myself with the knowledge that it's still less than I pay for a lot of figures. And it was one of those things where the extra cost is kinda worth it to be fuckin done with it and I don't have to keep looking for one. And I will be very happy to have that one in my collection.

Ol' Gordon here is a pretty solid figure. He's got mouth articulation, but not just up and down. The whole lower jaw rotates for more posablity.

Going back to the nerdy kitchen appliance discussion from the previous page, my best friend and I are both lifelong comic book and action figure collectors and foodies who cook a lot. He has gotten into prop collecting and building, too, so a couple of years ago, I got him this official Mjolnir meat tenderizer:

https://smile.amazon.com/Seven20-Marvel-Thor-Mjolnir-Tenderizer/dp/B07FFCXSPM/ref=asc_df_B07FFCXSPM

It makes a hell of a lot more sense than a Loki slow cooker, since it's actually a small hammer you use to pound the poo poo out of meat.

I used to have an idea for a Grendel fondue pot that looked like Hunter Rose's masked head, with the fondue forks shaped like his own fork weapon. That would be a REAL niche product, especially now that the Netflix show isn't even coming out.

Hello, fellow 1-of-50 fan.

I picked up the Maxx 89 figure and it's curious. I dig the design and it's a HEFTY figure. I was wondering if the shoulder joints would be weak, but mine feel very solid. It feels like it would hold up well to normal kid-level play and abuse, which is cool for a nostalgia offering.

That said, it doesn't really feel at all like the original toys and the way they're using the suction cups makes it wobbly as hell (as you can see in the video). I'd probably pick up Wrecker on sale, but at full price I can't see myself going deeper with the line.

I kind of liked them as a kid too! But yeah, they don’t remind me of the original toys at all.

An update of what has been called one of the worst recolored Joe figures ever.

Does look better than the original 3 inch version due to the Classified toy being so good.

Still questionable how he can be called a CRIMSON Guardsman.

Ew, hideous.

Kinda surprised they haven’t announced a Python Patrol Bludd yet, I recall the modern 4” version looking way cooler than regular Bludd.

The Python Patrol Crimson Guard was the one I had as a kid, so I don't hate I like some do. I'd agree the standard colorway is better in this case. I'm prone to wacky inpractical colors, so I may grab one of these anyhow.

This month's Mafex releases are good for my Wallet, but bad for me completing Jim Lee X-Men or more 90s Supermans.

After thinking about it for a while I decided I wanted that figure and price be damned. I almost spent like $90 on the barbarian babe from Golden Axe before I chickened out, and she’s basically store brand Red Sonja. I even ordered it from BBTS despite them charging $5 more than some other retailers, convenience and cheaper shipping will pretty much make up for that.

I might be there with you. Im going to wait for reviews and hopefully some side by sides with Mezco Conan. If she’s a quality fig and works with him, it’ll be hard to say no.

I don’t know what the deal is with LooseCollector, why they publish some iffy promo pics but then revamp the figs right before release. Just make them nice before releasing promos guys!
