I always liked Bagely but I don’t think he’s ever mastered the shape of Spidey’s head. You either got those Clone Saga covers where the bridge of his nose is like Pac-Man’s mouth or Ultimate Spidey where his head is just an egg.

The XXXTREME spiked shoulderpads on the right, or the white-with-full-mask on the left? Both appear to be leotard outfits, as best I can tell.

Is that Iron Cat in front of the "B"? I haven't been keeping up on much of anything for a while now.

Edit: shoulderpads is a full bodysuit, you can see the booties. Might be the same on Blanc Cat, with the murderspike toes.

Edit 2: missed the Cat-ian Marvel suit with the equipment belt, behind Shoulderpads.

fantastic

I always admire when an artist uses shapes of black and white to communicate form rather than drawing a line around everything and then filling it in - if that makes sense. There are hardly any contour lines in these images and it takes real skill to draw this way; just using light and shadow. Sin City is a decent example of this.

Yeah, I've read most of his collabs with Jeff Lemire and generally enjoy them. Some of his superhero stuff doesn't work as well for me since his faces aren't always distinct, but the compositions are always great.
