The original bowsette joke is that both Mario and Bowser get rejected by Peach, so Bowser puts on the magical crown and he and Mario start dating each other. It's a silly four-panel joke that spawned a million horny drawings, videos and, apparently, miniatures.

Though they do seem to be very 80s style sculpt in that they all look like the cover of 2nd edition.

I got drunk and ordered a shirt during the height of it because I thought it was funny or something. I finally wore it last year when I was moving because I didn't want to ruin any good shirts.

I think I still have the issue of Dragon magazine this came from somewhere. It was rules for a squad of marines who would board space hulks and dance (in their specially adapted terminator armour) to... I think show their disregard for the genestealer menace? One marine had to carry the boombox, and he could put it down so the other marines could use their sweet breakdancing moves. Sadly I dont recall there being any pictures of converted figures or anything.

The quality of the detail etc varies a bit as well but stuff like the underwater lines is legit cool conceptually and in terms of execution. Like those are a cool unique thing and they should showcase them on their website a lot more. I agree that there's a shitload of absolutely bland generic oldschool fantasy art type minis for a fuckin tenner+ a piece to wade through as well. Also I don't agree on them being tame, there's multiple minis with straight up tits out, barely a lowcut loincloth. Like it's tame in that it's not super crass porn poses but there's def lovingly sculpted double ds with lovingly sculpted nips in there.

I think for all our collective sanity we steer the thread back on topic. Horny miniatures are funny but kind of cringe. At some point it starts to intersect with the kinds of people that cover the common areas of their home with fetish art. There's nothing wrong with it in of itself, nobody is really going to care one way or another but it does start to get a little "exhibitionist" at some point I assume. Nobody really gives a flip if some grognard likes titty battleship women miniatures, but if you really don't care to see a Fletcher class DD with DD sized honkers in your tabletop naval sim game that's reasonable too.
