Hey cute thread. Next Saturday my family is getting our first dog. She's a 5-m-o Staffie bitch, and we're picking her up from a local kennel/shelter. I am very excited - my daughter can barely sleep. I hope it works out - we've a cat in our house, and she's the only possible stumbling block (I hope). Will report back when she's in the house, but until then, here - a couple of pics of the prettiest Staffie out there.   We've been slowly introducing Lola the cat do dogs - here she is yesterday, after spending a couple of hours slowly creeping closer and closer to my sister's Spaniel.

Assuming you have stairs, put in a stair gate. Even if your new girl loves her new cat buddy, she is still a pup and will probably get too much for them at times, I've got a Staffie and they are high energy and want to play constantly. Having the upstairs as a place to get away will help with that until she calms down a little. I had a friend whose cat basically just moved out when they got a dog. My youngest (still in middle school) has been making these little woven bead bracelets. It isn’t unusual to see rainbows around the house ever since the kids were small, but I saw six of these bracelets sitting out and all six are different pride flag colors. According to a friend from school, a whole group of lgbtq kids have formed a social circle where they support each other, and my child is the main driver for it all and has been making these bracelets for friends.
