also great turkish street food, midye dolma (stuffed mussels). They're stuffed with delicious rice and herbs. You eat it at the midye stand, often at a teeny tiny stand like this:  and you make a stack or a row of mussel shells shoved into eachother. when you're done they count the shells and you pay. The first time I ever had paneer, it was in some weird loose ricotta style texture mixed with chickpeas. Never had paneer look like that anywhere else since so I don't know what was up with that restaurant. Still tasted alright but proper paneer is so much better.
