drat that really sucks, crimesight actually owned. murder chess where one (or two) players are on the sherlock team and have to determine which character in the mansion is the murderer and who they're trying to kill, while the moriarty player has to discretely arrange for the murder to happen without making their plans too obvious. also sometimes with a fourth player that's ostensibly on the sherlock team but actually helping moriarty

Reminder that Among Us languished in obscurity for 2 years before it found new life during the pandemic. Looks like Crimesight will never get that chance.

Yep. Similarly, Fortnite was around for more than 2 years as the zombie coop shooter before it became repurposed as the Battle Royale. Seems strange that Rumbleverse is being cut down without mercy even as Epic rides the Fortnite loot train... or is there trouble in Tomato Town too?

it isn't a social deduction game at all, except in the four player mode with the hidden traitor. none of the players are the murderer, and none of the half dozen or whatever characters belong to any one player in particular. they kind of just do their own thing unless one of the players secretly influences them to do something in particular, as sherlock you have to pay attention to the characters your side aren't influencing each turn and determine whether the things they do are random or deliberate and, if they are deliberate what the intention behind the move was. like for instance a character going off by themselves, was that NPC behavior, is moriarty trying to isolate the victim to make them weaker, or clearing witnesses, or just scattering people to throw you off the trail. if a character, makes a very deliberate move across the map towards someone that was alone, was that a kill attempt that went wrong because a witness walked into the room at the last minute? only time you know for sure that moriarty did something is if you both try to influence the same character, and only because moriarty's orders take priority so the person doesn't do the thing you asked them to, or if they do the one move that only moriarty can do that immediately reveals the murderer

This game continues to baffle me with its design choices. I'm at a point where you have to assault a fortress by taking out a defence base first. This involves a large scale battle against a constant stream of reinforcements immediately followed by a boss battle against the captain of the fortress. This takes about 45 minutes just for the two fights. In order to reach the fortress you have to do this 6 times. I get that big battles is this game's gimmick but who the hell decided it was a good idea to have 4-5 hours of repetitive gameplay with no plot development?

It's going to take me all week to do this bit

I think I may duck out of my play-through of Hifi Rush. I�m most of the way through the second main stage but I�m already tired of the formula of bouncing between boring platforming and fights in big empty rooms. There are just a tad too many mechanics being added at this point for my skill level; all the forced parrying sections are tough for me. I�m also a little bit bummed that the licensed songs are only for the boss fights; since the game has to keep a consistent beat throughout the whole stage the stock music is really repetitive.

Fantastic first few hours though. Really impressed with the presentation.

Why would the big 3 care about E3 when they can just host their own conferences/directs, save money, and have the focus on them? Make sense for them to skip

The flipside on this is that it will potentially clear up E3 to give indies a bigger chance to shine.
