Multiple people shot in Lakeland, Florida, city says https://www.cnn.com/2023/01/30/us/lakeland-florida-mass-shooting/index.html It's still early but apparently there's at least 9 people shot but only 2 of them have critical injuries. What a joke of a country.

Neither got shot so it didn’t matter but one of them did drown in an irrigation ravine after a vehicle accident, oops All the humvees were unarmored though and there were a few that were still painted woodland green for some reason

Anything short of a ban on semi auto firearms and then a gun buyback/confiscation won't make a dent in the mass shootings we have here in the US. That would be just as impossible as fixing all the economic and societal issues we have that no doubt lead to all these mass shootings.

One, running can sometimes just get you shot, and when you fight in many cases the shooters stop. That may be true but it's not exactly borne out in the stats. half of shooters stop the killing on their own, another quarter or so are stopped by law enforcement, and the other is a mix of 10% their gun broke then cops, or bystander intervention. I'm not sure it's worth changing such a hammered home doctrine for a maybe 10%, but, given the numbers that's a not insignificant amount of lives saved.
