I never bout any of those big multipacks, and I really don't remember them existing either. I was probably just being a movie snob back in the heyday of those collections, and buying A DVD of Robocop or Enemy Mine instead.

Buglord
I had one or two of those giant collections but every movie I watched looked like absolute poo poo and one was literally missing scenes (can't remember which film but it was an older one and was like 20 minutes shorter than it was supposed to be) so I didn't bother with any more.

I did have a couple like 8/10 packs though, those were generally fine and there were a couple films that couldn't be purchased any other way, like Stuart Gordon's The Pit and the Pendulum.

Not really the same thing because these were actually some pretty decent transfers but the time, but I really miss Tai Seng Video Marketing. I owe my love for martial arts movies to the guy at my local comic book store transferring a bunch of Tai Seng laserdiscs to VHS for me, and after that all the way through the DVD era if I saw a Tai Seng logo I bought it no matter what.

Yeah, even their 4:3 prints were nice and clean, it's how I watched The Legfighters before VCI's bluray.

Lol Vinegar Syndrome has an app but since that means it has to be approved for the app store, you can't buy their pornos through it.

A couple of weeks ago the Universal Classics Monsters vol 2 went on sale at Amazon for $40 so I scooped it up. It should've included 4K and Blu-ray copies of

Bride of Frankenstein
The Mummy
Phantom of the Opera
Creature From the Black Lagoon,

...eight discs, four movies. I received

a Blu-ray copy of Creature
a Blu-ray copy of Bride of Frankenstein
a Blu-ray copy of Phantom of the Opera
another Blu-ray copy of Bride of Frankenstein for some reason
a Blu-ray copy of Frankenstein, which isn't even included in this set but gently caress it, and
a Blu-ray copy of the Mummy

and not a single 4K disc anywhere, Seller has been contacted, etc

:negative:

edit; several reviews have gone up in the last few days complaining about this seller

another edit; any advice for dealing with a potential scammer is welcome

Sellers are getting worse and worse on Amazon. I just stick with buying straight from them either New/Used now because you just never know who you're really getting something from.

I bought some stuff from Diabolik, it shipped the 24th, yet the tracking says the post office hasn't received the package yet It's also some hard-to-get and expensive discs. Honestly, only Best Buy and the distros I buy my death metal CDs from are reliable now. Grindhouse is good too.

A lot of places will give you a shipping notification as soon as the slip is printed and it'll just sit there for days before it's picked up. Just had a record sit in New York for a solid week before it even started moving.

Four Flies Protip: if you send an email to Severin and ask nicely if they would be able to privately sell you a copy, they will.

Joey Bologna didn't have a very prolific (movie)acting career but I do see on his filmography that he was in Alligator II: The Mutation, which I've been meaning to check out. So I'll be enjoying Joey Bologna's work at some point in the near future.

Poster is better than the movie. Mostly a boring rehash of the first one. And the drat gator is smaller!

I kind of feel like if they were, we’d already know. I’d also be surprised if Troma would be willing to split profits on some of their biggest titles. So definitely wait for the reviews before grabbing these lol

2 and 3 both have their moments, but are completley hamstrung by being split from one movie into two during the editing process. This was apparently done in an attempt to make their VHS distributor pay two advances instead of just one.

4's opening is a school shooting at a special needs school. I feel like that's enough information for you to determine if it's for you or not.

The only redeeming thing about Citizen Toxie is the making of doc, Apocalypse Soon. It's a fantastic look into the chaotic, insane process of making a Troma film. Can't recommend it and any of their other making-ofs enough.

They're goofy as poo poo, but they were on at 1 AM on USA Up! All Night on weekends throughout my teen years and I love them very much.

Also Class of Nuke 'Em High II: Subhumanoid Meltdown. which has one of my favorite themes:

Have a great day.
I've gotten really into thrift store hunting and bargain bin diving, but is there a way to check disc integrity besides watching* it? It really sucks to be watching a good movie and then the disc craps out partway through :(

* or ripping it, but part of why I get discs is because I have more wallspace than drive space.
