Pan Dulce posted:Also, that agent is TOTALLY coming back. Not only did they cast an actor who loves to come out on tv shows and doesn't mind repeat appearances, but they did the whole, wink nudge, "Call me if you need anything," drivel. He'll be back. I wonder if the FBI agent will come back, but to arrest her, because someone becomes suspicious that she seemingly leaves a trail of corpses everywhere she goes. I don't really expect that, but it would be a funny twist plus a wink to the various "Jessica Fletcher is actually killing everyone" jokes. Also, from his Wiki entry, lol at the fact that that actor was the third-highest paid TV actor in 2018. It really is crazy how popular Big Bang Theory got.

I'll be honest and say that I still immediately think of him as his worthless supervillain from Dr. Horrible's Singalong Blog. And I was never even a big Whedon fan.

Must be pretty awesome to make that sitcom money for so long and then just be able to drop into semi-anonymous roles doing whatever you want rather than being typecast like Leonard and Sheldon.

It was kind of annoying and distracting, honestly. There's a long history of media taking left-wing agitators against the status quo and hot-gluing insanely murderous acts or intent to them, mostly in the form of baby-killing, in order to make them Evil Hypocrites in a way that has nothing to do with the actual ideologies their villains are inspired by. Black Panther did this with having Killmonger kill his girlfriend because otherwise he'd just be obviously right about everything.

I found the reveal funny (and was expecting something like that because the way the flower scene was filmed) but yeah I also did found it a bit eye rolley. I want the person who said their theory was Rian is a Marxist to give their take on that lmao.

I'm still on episode 2. Good show, but I have a question about something in this episode: When Charlie hears over the radio that Damian, the victim, was bludgeoned to death instead of shot, she turns around and starts investigating. I think I missed something really obvious, because I'm unclear on why she thought Damian would have been shot.

Some of his facial expressions and the way he would roll his eyes when huffing and puffing are uncanny jables. Funny stuff The last actor to remind me so much of him was Troy Gentile, who plays Barry on the Goldbergs - and then I found out that he played young Jack Black in both Tenacious D and Nacho Libre.

It was cute that they showed You Must Remember This on the Screen of Podcasts in episode 4, but honestly should've just gone whole hog and had Karina Longworth play the true crime podcaster.

5 is def the standout so far. Has the best murder so far with a lot of fun moving pieces, the killers are charismatic, and it has the best Charlie gotcha so far. I think 3 is overall funnier but its weaker in those other elements.
