huh kind of surprised noones tried to reboot josie and the pussycats recently given that its one of the better known hanna barbera cartoons i suppose the fact that hanna barbera didnt actually own the rights to it probably has a lot to do with that warner brothers discovery stands to make no more money off of josie and the pussycats than they do trying to bring back charlie chan and the chan clan

It's pretty funny that the Wacky Races Wikipedia page features full race results from every episode along with the number of top 3 finishes for each car.

The best thing about Wikipedia is the fact that they treat all topics as equally important.

I'm dying and had to explain the relation beteeen Adam Friedland, the Stav comedy special we watched, and the politic podcast I listen to when doing dishes
Matty Healy under fire over controversial podcast interview and Harry Styles remarks

quote:

The 1975 singer Matty Healy is facing a major backlash for "homophobic" comments about Harry Styles. Matty, who is the son of ITV Loose Women star Harry Styles, has come under fire for branding Redditch-born Styles a "queerbaiter".

Healy appeared in the latest episode of The Adam Friedland Show with comedians and podcast hosts Friedland and Nick Mullen. “Did you see that Pink’s getting canceled for looking like a lesbian for her career and now that’s being regarded as queerbaiting?” Healy told the hosts.

“Loads of 18-year-olds are being like, ‘She’s done irreparable damage to the lesbian community.’” The interviewer then asked Healy why he thinks Styles is allowed to ‘queerbait.’

Healy replied: “He gets a pass, I don’t know... I actually don’t think the gays really like it, it’s young girls that think it’s a new thing that are like, ‘Oh my god.’”

One of the co-hosts then remarked: “Gay men don’t have a problem with somebody pretending to be gay, they just jack off to it.” Healy replied by saying: "Maybe it’s not all gay guys, but a lot of them."

Later in the same episode, Healy is asked about the term "lairy", and called it a “stupid English word”, adding that it was a word “we make up to sound tough which makes us sound gayer”.

Healy also told Friedland that he would “f***” Friedland’s sister because “she’s hot” and the trio joked about women's periods. “It’s so funny that woman get f***ed up by the moon,” Friedland said, adding: “Meanwhile we went there – men!”

“F*** yeah, f***ing too right!” Healy added. On Twitter, social media users have been left "disappointed" by the remarks. The trio also did impressions of Chinese accents and complained about "p***y drying up."

Healy further made references to Scottish, branding it "medieval" as one of the co-hosts labelled it a "retard English".

Casino Royale was so great, probably the funnest of the bond films. The other ones suck because you have to know a bunch of backstory, which makes no sense in the bond universe.

The Northman was kind of like if Conan the Barbarian was directed by somebody that had no idea how to direct action scenes and was too scared to ask.

Eggers entire style is to direct artsy type films. It was a really weird choice making him the director of a big budget action film and expecting it to be different. The film was fine though.

Hamlet and Northman are adaptations of an older danish story. Lion king might be or maybe it's just hamlet.

Shakespeare's thing was every play is like, in a different foreign land and he was cribbing from those place's big epic stories and bringing them to the river thames or w/e.

the emotionless stuff worked because amleth is so consumed by revenge that he goes on to fulfill his mythic destiny instead of loving an ayylmao looking slavic priestess.

Yeah honestly there's a bunch that feels almost cribbed from Andrei Rublev- the pagan orgy in the wilderness, the sudden horrific raid on a village- except instead of being a sensitive religious artist the main character is a psychotic murderer.

Northman and Hamlet are both based on the same legend but both take it in very different directions- the legendary Amleth did the whole faking madness bit to survive getting purged, but Shakespeare added all the doubt and internal struggle stuff (given that it's set in "modern" Denmark rather than the Viking era)
