Seems like crate RNG is the most important thing in this game yeah it's pretty important with how good your resources are. i don't think easy mode is super valuable in god hand since the levels are short, a lot have checkpoints, and you get life bonuses/level downs on retry (i think this is like what other capcom games were doing w/ scaling difficulty). i had forgotten how short these levels are, it's just right for a game that's unforgiving. a level with only 4-5 encounters is still a nice challenge.

 : Beat the game Not sure how playtime is calculated because Steam clocked 50h. I beat the game but the game beat me. I gave up on hard mode after 4 guardians and I had to start looking stuff up starting at Gate of Illusion. There's just no way I would've figured some of this stuff out even with constant handholding. Had a calm gamer freakout during the entire ending sequence. I skipped the hole that appeared in the endless corridor and wasted two whole minutes trying to figure out how to get out of that area. I got to Mulbruk with 8 seconds to spare. I did NOT want to fight Mother again. Not my favorite game ever but it really was a great game club pick.
