Thanks. Yeah Amazon has it new, used, ebook, etc. Looks like Austin Public Library has it, but only 1 copy that isn't due back for a bit (the library for my suburb doesn't have it). Looks like the only way to read it in the next few weeks is if I buy the Kindle version. Cheap enough, so meh, I'll grab it. Kindle is usually my last resort; there's plenty of used copies, but I'm looking at Feb 21st at the earliest.

Olympic Mathlete posted:Also this is lame. BMW ain't done gently caress all interesting with the brand and certainly nothing actually Mini so just let China make these tiny EVs, they're far more interesting than anything you're going to do, lads. Darchangel posted:So is BMW claiming trademark violation or patent violation? Because if it's patent - their patent ran out before BMW even bought Mini, at least in the US. It's kinda understandable since BMW and Great Wall Motors are launching the Spotlight Minis soon and spent something around a billion on a new plant that's scheduled to churn out something around 200,000 cars per year. All other things considered, China is nothing if not protective of its own investments, and a Chinese company going "oh, you were planning to build a whole bunch of joint-venture Mini EVs? lol we'll do that too" is the kind of strategy that'll get China to actually police their own hard.

Even if it wasn’t, once the sun burns the paint off it starts to rust from the roofskin down. Yeah, I had an XJ that had rusted drip rails before but it was just surface rust. Not too many cars have drip rails anymore tho. And it seems like every old work van or truck has a roof with surface rust all over it

Also, left it dirty, but you know, the normal amount of dirty for a GT3. As for field, could be possible if we're talking a well-groomed acreage, maybe a farmers field if its particularly flat. Guess would depend on where exactly they are and the quality of fields available around there. Either way, entertaining enough, I want to believe.
