I finished the first third of Gary S2, and it’s good but that intern demon is not doing it for me. I’m waiting for the other shoe to drop though. Also, the VA changed Gary’s voice at bit. Or maybe the new recording studio warped it a little?

Your buddy could have submitted a single picture of his bare butt and it still would have been a step up from Allen Gregory. Alan Gregory is one of those shows where you really wonder how it made it to air. There's supposed to be checks and balances. Someone is supposed to watch this. They knew how bad it was, and still put it on the air. Royal Crackers looks like a bog standard adult comedy cartoon. With the same stupid jokes and unlikable characters. It's hard to really feel anything for it because it feels so generic.

I ploughed through the rest of the season last night with my roommate, and we were laughing our balls off the entire time. I actually think it was funnier than season 1. I think the 10 episode run forced them to be more discerning and even snappier with their jokes because almost every one of them landed for me. Weakest episode was probably the Forest of Despair. It was still funny but most of the forlorn demons didn't quite do it for me. The one thing that never popped up that we were expecting the entire run was the bread mascot. We swore it was going to be one of the archdemons or a cover for another Fleshler type antagonist, expecting the other shoe to drop. But nope. My favorite bit was Ryndok/Tucker loving with Gary during his transformation. So many visual gags in that single 10 second sequence. Holy poo poo. Really the whole Ryndok/Tucker character was amazing.

It could also just be a bad trailer. They really suck at making trailers for even the funny shows. Not really feeling it though. Somebody in the comments said that they liked the animation since it reminded them of Stroker and Hoop, and man, at least Stroker and Hoop had an intentionally ugly aesthetic. This is just low effort.

Excited to see that they seem to have a loose time frame for the next episodes (4!!!!!!!!!!) I'm also loving the shot of Stolas being kidnapped and looking very annoyed Wonder if they said anything about the release of episode 8 and if there's any release date in sight for that. Ballmasterz was an old-school anime parody without really looking much like an anime, so I think the new animation is to try and get those aspects to align more so the satire makes more sense.
