On reflection, I don't think there's ever been a moment with King that I haven't enjoyed. It's either hilarious or oddly heartwarming.

The thing about King's gimmick is that it doesn't show up very often and it never outstays its welcome even though you know what's gonna happen most of the time.

My absolute favorite is when the team of assassins set up in the diner to take out King, and due to a series of misunderstandings, they become convinced that King has gone out of his way to warn them off but with a promise that one day they can face off against each other.  That it ends with this same team bumping into Saitama and deciding he's an easy secondary option is the icing on the cake.

My favourite King moment is when Saitama is acting like an aloof and emotionless god out of touch with worldly concerns who is just too strong to be bothered by anything, only for King poke holes in his argument then enrage him by saying he’ll beat him at video games using just a single finger on each hand.

Another reason the King gag always works is that while the joke is generally the same, it tends to be played on a different person each time. Said characters tend to be some kind of arrogant jerk, so what happens is a dramatically ironic comeuppance that repeats the punchline, but usually has a somewhat different setup. His enemies all own themselves and his allies jump to ludicrous conclusions using their own biases. The fact that he doesn't actually want to own anyone and it's all their doing only makes it even more absurd.
