As much as I love rubbernecking at insane meltdowns and stuff it really isn't healthy that the only way for poo poo to get done on this website is for someone to divebomb a problematic thread/troll a problematic poster until the mod punishes them, which gets more peoples eyes on it due to the LC, QCS threads are made etc. But like, history has shown nothing happens if you try other avenues. I can't count how many times some blow up happened in QCS and when told they should have reported the post someone responds with "I PMd the mod/admin about this and they ghosted me/told me they'd look into it 3 weeks ago" And then you have the mod or admin responsible not show up in the thread and mods from various unrelated forums come in and vaguely describe what they think the mod/admin meant by their actions which does nothing but get people even more pissed off. It's extremely obvious that the administration doesn't like appearing as conceding to the angry mob in these situations, but the angry mob wouldn't form in the first place if things were nipped in the bud. Sometimes poo poo does fall through the cracks and I think the userbase would be more willing to be understanding of these scenarios if it wasn't the norm. To their credit though, it does seem like the admins do jump on people who like send threats over PMs and stuff pretty fast (at least to my knowledge) and that's genuinely good, but I just wish more things could be handled this efficiently.
