Pizza hot-take: bacon is mostly nasty, pineapple is great on a pizza if it is caramelized first, and combined with spicy/fatty toppings like red jalapeños and pepperoni or nduja. Anchovies, black olives, red onions and capers are a top-tier pizza topping combo.

I just had a Hawaiian pizza last week for the first time in a decade and it was good. The surprise ingredient beyond ham and pineapple was pockets of cream cheese, which turned out to be awesome. So I guess what I'm saying is that I'm ready to declare the war on pineapple pizza over, now that I've joined the correct side.

My favorite local pizza place has that along with a handful of other less common toppings. It was what pushed me over the edge in getting that pizza, I'd never tried it before and I'm really glad I did.
