It's the entry level deals that need to be doubled at least. I'd expect the average NHLer is making about 10-12x less than the Pasta contract and I'd like to see that go up. I'd want auto-bumps on games played too, but that would lead to MLB levels of roster fuckery.

The Jonathan Quick saga is just reminding me of the brief time Tim Thomas was on the Florida Panthers, and how he demanded (and did get) a release as soon as Luongo was traded back to the Panthers. I guess what I'm saying is that I hope Martin Jones gets sent to Vegas as well so Quick abandons ship.

Brad Fast (Dman) played for the Manchester Monarchs (Kings AHL affiliate) in 05/06. TJ Fast (Dman) was drafted by the Kings in 2005. Jon Quick (Goalie) was drafted by the Kings in 2005. Kings could have (and should have) had a Fast-Fast-Quick defense. My point is that Vegas needs to trade for Jesper Fast before it is too late.
