I went and looked at this place too, and the gutters are so rotted out that water damage is destroying the wood box gutter frames and getting into the brick. There was a line of people to view the place despite that.

The shittiest houses in the shittiest areas are cheap, once you get into houses that people want to live in it's just as expensive as anywhere else that isn't DC / LA / SF / NYC.

I saw this place last week, the wood is all hosed up, there's a bullet hole in the front window, and the back wall is falling off the house.

That house currently has three early twenties couples living in it and sharing the common spaces, one of the tenants was coming as we were leaving and she told us the bullet hole was there when she moved in two years ago. They stuck some packing tape over it and it hasn't been touched at all since lol
