it's crazy how hiking backpacks have gone from huge bulky rear end metal framed things that weigh like 15lbs to begin with, to now a standard one is like 2-3lbs and still have structure. i'm pretty sure doing all those hikes i did in boy scouts with like 75lbs on my back is what hosed my back up in the first place
