I mean most everyone agrees that Bakhmut will be lost, it's just that it's a matter of when, rather. Way things were going it might already have been lost a month ago, but they're still going on. Depends on when they decide to finally withdraw entirely, I guess.

Aren't the canopies generally a plastic of some sort? Breaking them would be difficult, but they would burn pretty good.

Assuming the response to the fire isn't immediate I imagine that just throwing a couple of molotovs onto the top of the airframe would stop it from flying for quite some time. Aluminium & carbon composites don't really do well in fires, titanium will stand up much better but I'm not sure how much of a Russian jet would be made of it.

If you were sneaky and had the time you could remove the oxide layer on the aluminium in a few spots and apply some gallium to give you a nice quiet reaction that weakens the metal, only handy on parts that get stressed i guess. :shrug:
