Don't worry. We'll keep him in the division for you. Then he can go to the Vikings to complete the set.

I love Swag Kazekage as much as the rest of you but, as said before, the man broke Barry Sanders’ single season touchdown record last year and that in and of itself probably priced him out of what the Lions were willing to pay.

I’ll love that dude forever, though. I’ll root for him wherever he lands. One of the best people in the sport.

Just from a "player relations" standpoint it seems dumb not to bring back Williams. The guy seemed like he absolutely loved and lived Detroit, and from all indications the locker room loved him.

I guess business is business but drat.

I hope wherever he lands he’s loved as much as he was here. Anybody got the clip where he tells the reporters that he just wants to go home and play Pokémon?

Yeah, I'm not terribly upset about losing Montgomery. He's a bruiser with no speed. Herbert has speed and agility, but he can't block. Both have injury histories but I understand where the Bears are spending their money.

Fair trade.

I hate losing Montgomery but I think I've hated every time the Bears lose a top tier running back the last 25 years and it has literally never mattered. Not that the Bears are great at grooming RB (they might be) but honestly RB isn't super crucial.

I hope it doesn't hurt morale, but, well. The Lions were never gonna be able to retain every player that did cool stuff. It hurts that it's one of the coolest guys on the roster, for sure.

Montgomery is really good and held his own running behind a horrendous line. I know he isn't going to break off huge runs but he's a nice bruiser who turns 2 yard gains into 6 yard gains. He will be really good for the Lions who have a better line. Happy he is getting paid even if it isn't a ton.

Jamaal Williams and Breece Hall would be an absolutely excellent duo for Rodgers to constantly check out of plays to so he can hurl the ball 5 feet over his receivers head, then death glare at them for now telescoping their arms to catch it.

So hey does the Lions signing Mosley and Sutton preclude them from taking a CB at 6 or 18?

I think it signals they're going front seven at 6. Maybe a guard or Bijan at 18.

It feels like at this point, they might go DL and EDGE at 6/18.

Edit: Also possible what Henchman just said.

I don't think they go edge. I think they like what they have there.

I would not be surprised they do another OL and I don't think the signings preclude drafting another corner.

They could also be like “gently caress it. Who needs linebackers?” and go Carter at 6 and Kancey ay 18.

Just a D-Line made entirely out of depleted uranium.

No but he wouldn't come here when he's being courted by Dallas and Seattle.

I agree with Henchman: DL at 6 and OL or RB at 16. Possibly a LB there too depending.

I am terrified of a line with Hutch and Carter. That has the potential to be terrifying.

I think you are underestimating how many players would want to go to Detroit. That team looms like it is on the rise and is full of former players as coaches. Bobby Wagner and Jalen Carter would make that defense scary.

I like how the Lions are building their team. I think they should just continue to load up on the D-line. Carter is a no brainer at 6 if Seahawks don't grab him. Wilson seems like a stud too.

Is there any chance they'd take Levis or Richardson at 6 to play behind Goff for a year? Feels like with the direction of the team and how bad that division might be for awhile, they may not have another shot to get a QB at the top of the draft for awhile.

A lot of people are talking about it, but, poo poo, a lot of people were talking about the Lions taking Malik Willis at 2 last year.

I'd be kinda ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh with Richardson at 6 but honestly pretty okay with him at 18. But I don't think he's getting to 18.

Honestly, with how deep this draft is at defensive line, going QB at 6 wouldn't be egregious. Especially with how you've covered your secondary in free agency.
