Most folks think itll be another charity event / watchalong with his commentary.
So yeah, pretty cool.

Yeah, I'm sure there's some people deluded enough to think he's gonna release Justice League 2 or something. But for the most part the Snyder fanbase seems to just be a Snyder fanbase at this stage and seem like they're prepared and content to just have a twitch stream or something or a ... Snyder Con? That's a thing? Ok, cool. Either way I think that the water has found its level for the most part.

Never feel bad for them, they did this poo poo to themselves.

Yeah that post is super weirdly hostile. But that’s he problem. There’s so much baggage so many people can’t move on and let go of grudges. The posts in here aren’t even about Snyder or his films. Just the fans.

For my part I don’t really like fandoms in general and I really don’t get fandoms built around personalities. But it should be harmless as long as it doesn’t always have to be a war getting some nonsense nebulous win over your enemies. They’re just movies.

Some of the zealots do for sure, no denying that.

I think most of us have moved on though - people who post here that is - ZSJL was exactly what we wanted and we're happy with that. Looking forward to Rebel Moon and how it turns out. The thing teased was indeed just another viewing party - MoS - BvS - ZSJL. Not much else known - maybe cast/crew commentary? Those are always fun. It's where "Rubber bullets. Honest." came from.

In a perfect world, the new Mario movie would be based on the Valiant Gameboy comics where a sleazy, middle-aged man named Herman Smirch is hypnotized by his Gameboy into becoming the herald of Tatanga (the alien final boss from Super Mario Land) and Mario has to escape to the real world to stop him. But also, Mario, Tatanga, Daisy and everyone else are all extremely tiny.

It’s a tongue-in-cheek jest because of how loud and irritating SnyderBros have a tendency to be.

The problem is basically an endless cycle of meeting hostility with hostility with everyone feeling righteous in their own motivations. It’s just tiring and we should all move on.

THUNDERDOME LOSER 2022

Finally saw Quantumania. Felt oddly unsatisfying for reasons I'm having problems articulating...maybe MODOK was too goofy without really seeming sinister, maybe it was the suits seeming to be able to do whatever they needed to do when the script required [grow to a relative 300' tall! Use your wasp stings to blow up power cores on fighter jets!], maybe it was the father/daughter scenes never really hitting home in a meaningful way [sure, Cassie and MODOK about snark about Scott being an absent parent once each but so what -- there was some pathos to be mined there!]

But I thought they did Kang right, in pretty much every scene from his first appearance to his crowning moment before all hell breaks loose, not to mention the credits stingers. That alone makes up for a lot.

Yeah. This doesn't bother me because it's not the suits stretching, it's the pym particles affecting the atoms or some poo poo. It's just a goofy as the suits shrinking really.

The helmets coming on and off constantly and the suits being nano-tech was boring though.

They didn't grow anyone bigger than their original size at all the entire movie as far as I'm aware. They got slightly less small at one point, though.

After my wife gave a "shrug" response to the prospect of seeing it, I decided I'd still probably go because I work 9/80s and I'm a big fan of just a lazy Friday matinee.

Fandango shows like 1 ticket sold for every showing at my theater all Friday and that's it. The box office is gonna be a fun one.
