No ruckman for North and Williams was still average as gently caress, got more hitouts but nothing to advantage and kept fumbling everything. The only people who could say they had any impact on this game were the young ones, Sheed, Shuey, Ryan and Barrass - McGovern was average too, lots of errors. Entirely frustrating because they showed in the 3rd and 4th how they're supposed to play, that first half was abysmal. Gonna be a long year with that kind of defense where it's all on the talls to do everything. They also resorted to doing the bomb the line poo poo which has gotten us nowhere over the years, and I really hope Simpson stamps that poo poo out because it just doesn't work. Liam Ryan is cool and good. Footy has been good though this round so far. Looks like we've got another in Dees/Dogs. e: also David King pointed this out, and this has been happening for years now - how the gently caress do they sign off on umpires wearing light blue and dark shorts when North plays with blue and white and dark shorts?
