I don’t think anyone is expecting that and when someone tried to put out the Packers wanted the Stafford offer, it got squashed pretty fast. I think the battle is more like the Packers want a first or second instead of say a third the Jets are offering. And then something next year based on performance/retirement and or a player or two.

Maybe...just maybe... the compensation is more about how much of the contract the jets want to make the packers eat. Its a bad contract for anyone except AAron. I guess good on him for gettin paid, but now hes got teams playin hot potato with him.

The best thing about the Rodgers bullshit is eventually he's also going to get pissed at the Jets for not being willing to give up what he feels he's worth.

New York fans only want him because they think he can bring them a championship. If he is floundering the media and fanbase will make him miserable. He'll just retire and go away.

Packers signed Tarvarius Moore, which probably means there's a healthy chance Rudy Ford doesn't return.

lol, imagine if the Packers had put the slightest effort into improving special teams during the decade when it would've mattered

Gonna be thrilling when we have a top-10 special teams unit (excuse me, "we-fense") and bottom-15 offense and defense

Yeah a huge part of it is undoubtably this. The Jets are and have to act like they already have Rodgers. GB is gonna eat a bunch of the contract hit, NY is gonna trade a first and another pick next year with escalators.

The Journal-Sentinel surveyed four anonymous league personnel execs to estimate what the Jets will pay for Rodgers. Their answers:

- 2023 second or third-rounder and a 2024 conditional dependent on Rodgers not retiring

- 2023 second-rounder, 2024 first-rounder, and a player

- 2023 first-rounder and 2024 conditional dependent on making the playoffs

- 2023 third-rounder, better if the Packers take some of the cap hit

I'd take a 2nd this year and 1st next year just to end the. I think I'd keep Rodgers as rhe most expensive backup in history if I was offered a 3rd purely out of spite. But I'd be a poo poo GM.

A 2nd this year and a non conditional first next year is like the best case scenario the Packers can hope for, I sure hope you’d take that.

I seriously can't believe literally the only moves the Packers are making are on special teams. Guess the draft will be purely offense/defense with no specialists.

I’m such a poo poo GM I’d give him away for nothing if they took his contract.

Probably they'll just draft one at this point. I've seen some mocks where they take Hendon Hooker at 55.
