You wouldn't have some AI model do it (or maybe today you would, I don't know), but have the actual researchers take a sample size of, I don't know, a thousand tweets with slurs and look through them to determine whether they are hate speech or not. And then when that study is done it can be scrutinised for bias and so on. Like I said I do not trust either Musk or twitter on this, so please, just because I'm saying it would be possible to do do not jump on me accusing me of being an Elon stan, it's loving embarassing.
