Judges are basically the last people in the world who would get annoyed by using titles and respect for institutions.

I've had judges arguing against Zoom hearings and bringing all proceedings back to in-person in January 2021 because they were concerned that "everyone is looking directly at each other on Zoom" and "it may diminish respect for the judiciary" because when they are in person, they have to look up at the Judge and can see their name card that says "The Honorable Judge X" on it. On Zoom, everyone is at eye-level and using the name "The Honorable Judge X" on Zoom won't show the entire name when there are multiple people in the Zoom room.

Bobb is currently on the line for being the attorney who signed off on the original 'yeah we checked and there are no more classified or classified marked documents here' statement. kinda unclear what her connection to the Georgia case is unless she's getting investigated from multiple angles, which, tbf, is not at all unlikely. despite her having been involved in the trump legal shitstorm for a while, it's not immediately clear why the Fulton DA would be interested in her 6+ months ago.

Afaik she's a true believer and iirc was one of the people brought on board from OANN, though who knows where her loyalties stand after getting wrapped up in an espionage/mishandling classified materials investigation.

Tuesday’s 911 call was investigated, the courthouse at 60 Centre Street temporarily closed and searched, and the threat deemed unfounded, state court spokesman Lucian Chalfen said. "

He's fine to do it. The crime-fraud exception pierces the privilege, as determined by Judge Howell.

That’s the whole point of Judge Howell’s recent ruling. Trump by virtue of what has already been shown did a crime, which means it obviates attorney-client privilege.

Ja that privelege does not extend to discussions about helping your client hide or do crimes.

Murgos
Oct 21, 2010
The privilege is the clients. So if the client uses the attorney to further crime, which is what is being speculated here (unless we get information that changes that) then there is no privilege.

For how quick and aggressively the appeals court handled this (file in three hours by midnight) and judge Howell’s comment about “prima facile evidence of a crime” it seems like Trump clearly and knowingly lied to Corcoran and made him lie or obstruct. That Smiths team knew enough already to press Howell for the ruling after Corcoran said his testimony was protected seems pretty significant.

Having tapes that can be played that clearly show Trump committing a crime would be really, really amazing given his always talking sideways about everything.

I'm just guessing, but the conversation is gonna be Trump and Corcoran discussing a crime that one or both of them totally committed but discussing it as a hypothetical. Because they believe that the equivalent of saying you're going to do it in Minecraft is a real thing.

I think the smart money is on "Trump lied to his lawyer in ways to make the lawyer give false information that the lawyer believed was true, in such a way to further trumps criminal activities." Thus crime-fraud, Lawyer himself is quite possibly not at risk himself as long as he plays ball and turns everything over.
