So it seems. Apparently the official spelling is “Blazar” and the 21st is when we’ll get the official reveal as opposed to when the series will start (this trailer specifically aired alongside the Decker movie) Interesting way of doing things though, I wonder if this is hinting that Blazar is somehow manmade or something (though they also mention a “Singularity” so maybe it’s a Neo/Nexus kind of deal) It would be nice to have an Ultra series with zero connection to what came before at least (I think the last one was Nexus, though the transformations in R/B technically weren’t called attention to that much) Larryb fucked around with this message at 21:38 on Mar 24, 2023 |

I've been watching Maskman and admittedly have never seen any of the older Sentai series but I'm really enjoying it and it feels very different from modern series, even more than I expected. The baddies start off with a big advantage, the team has trouble with the powers, just stuff I haven't seen before. Even out of suit fighting which in my limited experience I haven't seen much of in the stuff I've seen from the last 20ish years.

Going off of the prequel manga, Shin Kamen Rider's SHOCKER aren't outright goose-stepping Nazis. They're weird apolitical technocultists, which is probably just as bad. Kind of surprising they aren't though, since Anno seemed pretty fixated on Tohru Hirayama's vision (Won't spoil any examples unless asked) and Hirayama was very intent on the Nazi-Punching.

In regards to King-Ohger it’s confirmed, Racles is going to become a rival ranger of sorts (but not the actual 6th who I believe is based on a spider and still has yet to be physically revealed): I kind of assumed as much seeing as he’s basically a recolor of Red’s outfit

got around to finishing Black Sun. That sure is a show that just ends and leaves you to figure out how you feel about all of it. Pretty notable is that while giving kids Heaven without telling them what it is is pretty hosed up, it's not until the end of the Golgom raid and Shunsuke that Nobuhiko's really cast as "fallen". So that together with the last episode flashback to Yukari calling 70s golgom a stepping stone for others to carry on and Aoi saying she'll carry on Kotaro's will, show ultimately feels pretty pro-setting off pipe bombs in the
