First we see the Brotruck aggressively prevent a pass by launching a wheel at the offending vehicle, then the wheel comes back to teabag its victim.

Clearly deliberate.

Hi there, would you like to try some spicy products?

Jeeesus Christ. :stare:

I wonder if the airbags still provided some modicum of protection considering they deployed the second the wheel impacted and the car got some serious airtime before hitting the deck again.

Bread Liar
Just came home from the supermarket and there was a Haval GWM parked opposite me. Didn't think anything about it until the driver got in and turned the car on.

The "HAVAL" badge had been replaced with a LED screen and a bright yellow "HAVAL" slid upwards into view then scrolled back and forth for a bit before finally flashing a few times.

Most ridiculous tacky poo poo I've ever seen*. Searched online and they're apparently an aftermarket accessory (not gonna lie, bit disappointed it's not standard) you can get from AliExpress and the usual suspects.

This isn't what the car had, it was a full LED screen, but it's the closest I could find on youtube

Yes they will. Gotta say I'm impressed by the Kia's safety cell, wasnt long ago you would have expected a roof collapse from a high landing roll like that

I think the OP or someone in the GBS thread said that the driver walked away from that. Belts+airbags+strong roof did their job it seems.

You ain't kidding.

My wife has this exact car. I showed her the video, noting (as far as we know) no serious injuries to the driver/occupants.

I once hit a big bug with my helmet at 60 mph and it was enough to rock my head back (and I had to stop and clean off the splatter). Seeing anything bigger than bug hit a helmet freaks me out.

Now I'm wondering if I need safety goggles for my bicycle! But I rarely break 20 mph, so that is like 10% as much kinetic energy.

Any sunglasses are more than adequate when biking, though ones designed with cycling in mind will give you more edge/wraparound protection than just some Ray Bans. I've been hit in the face by large bugs at speed and the ones that have hit me on the cheek have hurt like hell, but have bounced harmlessly off my glasses.

It HURTS even through pants and stuff.

From the sound and impact I struggle to tell the difference between june bugs and rocks at highway speeds.

The only tell is the splatter left on the visor.
