Thinking about it, I suppose I would want to see more new threads to have more available choices for things to read and engage with. This is especially nice at the beginning of a thread rather than staring at a 1k page unread thread. Very fair re: mixing groups of uh "fandoms" together and expecting it to work or be the same. I wasn't thinking like a person there.

Tbf the UKMT lived in CCCC before we had it moved back here. It was dying a death in there and coming to GBS brought us a lot of new posters. I figure a lot of Mega Threads will have made discords for general chit chat now? I've never seen any specific subject threads be non-stop idle chatter.

Honestly, if there is a general chat thread in GBS, it's the 5kpt. We're just a bunch of posters who coalesced sharing jokes and cute animals and our lives and poo poo. So if any threads need to be wound down and posting pals need a home, we're a pretty open and accepting bunch except BBC, he's on threadban parole right now

Yeah I figured the 5k thread was the unofficial GBS chat melting pot. It's got a mostly positive atmosphere though and minimal sex pestery so that doesn't make a great deal of sense. 🤔
