Definitely considering not paying the fee, since the incoming traffic will be hard pressed to cover costs even with millions of followers. The org I'm at is considering spinning up our own Mastodon server, and we have a legacy verified. We'll see if we actually lose it though.

Lol, I just got added to a BITCOIN PRIZE list out of nowhere, and I can report the list but there's no report category it falls under because it's not attacking, threatening, or impersonating anyone. Every option just takes me to a list of things that are prohibited by the TOS, but none of them involve spamming scams. Thanks, Elon
