Depressing reminder than Moana, as originally conceived, was going to be a traditionally animated movie before it was delayed.

Now it’s just another four-quadrant Rock vehicle.

Last time I checked the only one of these live action adaptations that most people were positive on was The Jungle Book ‘16. Dumbo was actually pretty good but I don’t think a ton of people saw it.

But they don’t seem to be slowing down with these things.

The hierarchy of power in the Moana-verse is about to change!

...seriously, gently caress off Dwayne.

EDIT: Surprised it's still being called "Moana" and not "Maui". Yet.

Bautista seems like he plays better with others than Dwayne. I don’t see Dwayne being willing to do the role Bautista had in Blade Runner 2049 at any stage of his career. He did the Scorpion King bit in The Mummy Returns but that guy was a major antagonist, and got his own spinoff. Bautista was willing to get killed by Ryan Gosling 10 minutes into an almost 3 hour movie.

Of all of his costars he was the least established and had the most to lose too. Also I’ve heard his mom is a lesbian so he really hates homophobia.

He covered up a Manny Pacquiao tattoo over his anti gay comments.

My take on Bautista is he legit gives a poo poo about acting and pushing himself as an actor. He could easily be making a fortune doing b action movies but doesn't. The Rock figured out a formula to make money and is going to continue to do it.

Drax is almost a completely oddity for Bautista roles, the guy loves playing soft-spoken thoughtful dudes.

And even as Drax he completely nails some of the most sincere quiet emotional beats of those movies.
