Grudging respect. It even has a centerstand clearly taken off another bike.

Edit: an ADV dad can afford real Klím(tm) luggage and wouldn’t build this out of kitty litter boxes.

Suns out (sort of)

Snow is melted (sort of)

Temps are decent (sort of)

But we did get torrential rains for the last few days that took care of any remnants of road salt, which means ITS TIME

If it's an oscope, it belongs in a museum. It may be something more specialized. I'm intrigued by the heavy duty belt and shoulder loops apparently attached to it, making it into a backpack.
Couple of options:
1. Dumb hipster backpack lunchbox or something*
2. ???

*Pls consider the state and design of the bike mods here

It may be like a signal analyzer or something like that. Oscilloscope-adjacent, basically.

I've done something comparable. But it was a PA tube amp with 4x 807 in it.

I found it at Amsterdam's waterloo square market, where i occasionally went by bicycle after lectures at the university.

I was on my *folding* bicycle, a shoddy one at that. I had no options to get there by car, because that would be a 2 hour ordeal to get home and grab my parents' car, and get into amsterdam's very car-unfriendly city centre. So the market operator gave me a small luggage strap, which i threaded through the handles, and i slung the thing across my back. It hurt my back and shoulders and i could feel the frame of the folding bicycle flex. But i got it home!

I wouldn't have put so much effort into it if it didn't contain some pretty much high end transformers, and the thing wasn't just priced the value of 2 good used 807 tubes...

You gotta do what you gotta do. Really didn't wanna miss out on that amp.

That said, that oscilloscope in the picture is likely gutted, made smaller, and turned into a very cool lunchbox/backpack. The 'original' scope is a lot deeper.
